Dr Zeng Xianting
Dr Zeng Xianting is the Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Training Academy (AMTA), responsible for managing the AMTA Programme Office to achieve the strategic outcomes of AMTA.
He leads the effort in setting AMTA’s business strategy and initiatives in alignment with the interest and directives of stakeholders, and building strategic partnerships with relevant government agencies, industry partners and training providers in the ecosystem.
Prior to joining AMTA, Xianting was the Director of Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) in Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), transferring knowledge and capability to the industry through case studies and hands-on practical training to meet the industry needs.
Before his career with KTO, Xianting was a research scientist and Group Manager of SIMTech, leading the R&D of advanced surface engineering technologies for industry applications, with research outcomes and achievements recognised internationally.
Xianting received his PhD in Thin Film Physics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995, and BSc and MSc in Applied Physics from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology of China in 1982 and 1987, respectively.
