SkillsFuture Singapore Leadership Visit to SMF/AMTA

On 4th March 2025, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) and the Advanced Manufacturing Training Academy (AMTA) were honoured to host Mr Kok Yam Tan, Chief Executive of SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), and his team. The visit underscored the strong collaboration between AMTA and SSG in driving workforce transformation and advancing Singapore’s manufacturing sector.

Strategic Discussions on Workforce Transformation

The visit facilitated in-depth discussions on AMTA’s progress, upcoming initiatives, and synergies within the broader ecosystem. Key topics included:

  • AMTA’s role in supporting businesses to navigate industry challenges and seize new opportunities in advanced manufacturing.
  • Areas for SSG’s support to enhance workforce transformation and ensure training programmes remain aligned with industry needs.

A highlight of the visit was the presentation of the Jobs-Skills Dashboard by Mr Jonaas Quek, Jobs-Skills Analyst at SSG. This data-driven tool provided valuable insights into Singapore’s skills landscape, guiding the development of targeted training interventions.

Driving Innovation and Excellence in Manufacturing

As a national programme supported by Enterprise Singapore and SkillsFuture Singapore, AMTA is dedicated to building a skilled and future-ready workforce for Singapore’s manufacturing sector. The visit reinforced the importance of partnerships in driving innovation and ensuring the workforce is equipped to meet the demands of Industry 4.0 and beyond.
