On 10 April 2025, the Advanced Manufacturing Training Academy (AMTA) hosted an industry engagement session focused on strengthening workforce transformation efforts within the Precision Engineering (PE) sector, as it adapts to the twin transitions of digitalisation and sustainability.
The event was jointly organised with the Advanced Manufacturing Employees’ Union (AMEU), the Jobs-Skills Integrator for Precision Engineering (JSIT-PE) led by Nanyang Polytechnic, and the Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA).
The session featured a robust programme designed to spark meaningful dialogue and actionable outcomes:
Discussions were anchored on practical realities and forward-looking strategies. The insights gathered will directly inform the next iteration of AMTA’s Upskilling Playbook, keeping it attuned to industry needs and aligned with Singapore’s Manufacturing 2030 vision.
“This focus group session plays an important role in validating ground sentiments and co-developing actionable solutions with industry stakeholders. We thank all partners and company participants for their candid input and active contributions.” – Dr Zeng Xianting, Director, Advanced Manufacturing Training Academy
We extend our sincere thanks to our partners and all participating companies for their active contributions. This engagement marks an important step forward in shaping a resilient and future-ready workforce for Singapore’s advanced manufacturing sector.
